My dog has lumps. Are they serious, a sign of old age, or harmless?

My dog has alot of different sized lumps all over him - is it a sign of old age and he's not long from dying or is it going to be okay??

Hi there! There are many different kinds of lumps and bumps that dogs can get as they get older. Many are harmless, but some may be signs of cancer or other problems. Unfortunately, I really can't tell you whether your dog's lumps are anything to worry about without being able to see and feel them. I would recommend taking your dog to the vet to have these lumps checked. He/she may be able to tell what they are based on how they look and feel. If there are any concerns, a simple test called a fine needle aspirate can be performed to find out for sure what they are and whether or not they need to be treated.
