My cat bit a tree clipping. Is ash toxic to cats? Will he be okay?

My mom left a clipping from a tree she claims is an ash tree my cat bit it he’s acting normal and I looked in his mouth and nothing seems to be wrong but I’m worried about it is he gonna be okay?
