Why is my new cat swallowing so much? Is it a sign of a health issue?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 5 years and 4 months old | 10 lbs

My new cat is swallowing very often. Is there a reason for this?

Repeated swallowing can be a sign of stress and anxiety in a new home but can also be a sign of nausea or dental pain as well as other medical conditions. If this is persisting, interfering with her ability to eat and swallow food or any vomiting develops I recommend a full health check, oral exam and possibly blood panel also
