my cat gave birth three days ago to two healthy kittens. yesterday she gave birth but the kitten was dead and the placenta was not attached. she seems to have another kitten and is pushing. is it possible that she could give birth to another cat if the placenta was still in her? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | 1 year and 2 months old | 4 lbs

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Snow. I recommend that she sees her veterinarian or an emergency veterinarian. She has been in labor longer than is normal. She will need an x-ray to see if there are any more kittens yet to come. She can become very ill if she has a retained kitten and/or placenta. I hope this information helps.
