Why did my 2-year-old cat suddenly die after hiding and not eating?

Pet's info: Cat | British Shorthair | Male | 2 years and 5 months old | 7.5 lbs

Hi my dad's 2 year old male cat died last night. Few days ago he came weak and stopped eating and would just hide under the bed but last night he got worse and stopped drinking we tried to give him water through a syringe but he died not long after I'm just looking for advice as to why this could of happened he's always been healthy otherwise was hardly ever at the vet although he's always been a skinny cat I could never get him to pile on the weight he had been wromed etc hope someone can help

I'm sorry Mickey passed so suddenly! Given that he passed away so suddenly, I would be concerned that he may have been injured (i.e. hit by a car) or got into something toxic. Without seeing him in person, I can't say for certain, but I am very sorry for your loss!
