My dog has hard, unattached lumps under his skin. What are they?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 12 years and 11 months old | 25 lbs

What my dog has are lumps just under the skin. They are pretty hard but not attached to anything~???

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Mamba. He may have something known as a sebaceous cyst. These are firm masses that grow within the layer of the skin as opposed to on top of or under the skin. They can rupture and ooze a white to grey fluid. If this does not seem to be the case, other dogs will accumulate calcium deposits within the skin. Your dog would need to see his veterinarian to know for sure, but I hope this information helps!
