My corn snake has stuck eggs. Is spaying the only safe way to help?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

I just fou d out my 15 year old corn snake had puss filled hardened eggs stuck in her. Doc says only safe way is to spay her and no other way to remove eggs. Any way of soaking her to help? No male presence.

The problem is that these eggs are basically rotting in her. It would not be safe to soak her. The rotting eggs are full of toxins and if any of them leak it could kill your snake. SO your vet is correct in his assessment to have her spayed in order to save her. Please listen to your veterinarian,
