My Frenchie has a pink bump near his nose. What is it and what to do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Male | neutered | 1 year old | 25 lbs

My 1 year old Frenchie has a very tiny pinkish bump/dot on between his nose and his mouth. (Where the most whiskers are) It has been about two weeks since I have noticed. It seems that it has grown a tiny bit, but not so much. He doesn’t seem care, so I guess he doesn’t feel neither pain or itchiness. What could it be? Should I just leave it alone?

Chai is adorable! What a perfect name! We can see a number of benign skin tags and masses in dogs. Unfortunately, we can't tell anything about a mass by just looking at it. Your vet can perform a simple test called a fine needle aspirate where they use a small needle to collect some cells from the mass, then look at them under the microscope. However, the area on Chai's face is very small and they may not be able to get a sample. If the area is enlarging, I would certainly have your veterinarian examine it. Otherwise, I would keep an eye on it and have your veterinarian look at it the next time Chai has a regular check up. Good luck! I hope that was helpful.
