My dog's eye has sudden bumps. Is it an allergic reaction or serious?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 1 month old

I dont know what’s going on with my dog’s eye , He was perfectly fine an hour ago and all of a sudden he has these bumps on his right eye , they don’t necessarily bother him , but he does get irritated when i try to touch the area or whenever i try to hold his head still.

It could be allergic reaction - it often starts at the eye(s) and face in dogs. You should apply a cold compress on the eye for a few minutes. Repeat that for 3-4 times. The swelling should slowly go down and dissapear in 8-10 hrs but if it is getting worse, or he wants to scratch the eye, please take Bleu to your local vets.
