Why does my dog have blackhead-like bumps on her belly and armpits?

Dog has "fields" of strange spiny things that resemble blackheads on her belly and just above the armpit areas if her back legs. This is a very recent development. I've never seen anything like this before. They seem to cause her no discomfort. She is a 4 year old mutt/Chihuahua mix in otherwise good health. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 10 lbs

Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. Judging from the pictures I suspect what you are seeing are blackheads. I would recommend using a shampoo called Dermabenz to help remove these. You can find this shampoo online quite easily and bathe twice weekly until resooved. If the condition does not improve or it worsens then I would recommend having a veterinarian examine her so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made.
