Why is my guinea pig coughing, sneezing, and trying to vomit?

My 2 month old male guinea pig seems to be sneezing or coughing not sure which very heavily (sounds quite painful) and has episodes as if he is trying to vomit and sounds like he is swallowing liquid after the episode, any ideas what this may be and if it’s a problem? (Episodes tend to last around 10 to 20 seconds.). Pet's info: Small Animal | Guinea Pig | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 14 days old | 2 lbs

I am sorry to hear about George. I would be concerned he could have a respiratory infection. I would recommend taking him in to see a vet as soon as possible for examination as he may need treatment with an antibiotic and delaying examination and treatment could make the chance of a quick recovery less likely.
