My spayed dog has a vaginal gash. What should I do immediately?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed | 2 years and 5 months old

My dog had a gash/tear on her vagina. I have no idea what to do or what could have caused it. She is spayed also. Just needing some guidance please!

It looks from the pictures tha the best way to treat this wound would be stitching it up or surgically removing the thin flap and leaving the wound for healing by second intention. The wound is fresh so it can be safely stitched up if it is done without delay. Please, take Sage to your local vets today.
