My dog fights neighbor's aggressive dogs. How to keep them off my property?

sam does not like my neighbors dogs they are always fighting he is good with every other dog besides my neighbors dogs they are out of control they have killed 4 of my dogs before and bit other people dogs i called the cops but i don't want to call the cops because my dog fights with them and they fight call cops on me when they fight when sam was little those dog always attacked them now he hates them what should i do to stop them from fighting and what should i do to keep them out of my yard

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this problem! Having neighbor dogs that don't get along with your dog can be very frustrating. From what you're describing, it sounds like the only really reliable solution here would be to put up a fence to keep the neighbor's dogs out. If they are consistently trespassing on your property and attacking your dog in your yard, you can also call your local animal control office to report this - they should be able to fine the owner for not keeping his dogs under control, or even confiscate the dogs if this continues to happen. For your part, I would make sure that you take Sam out on a leash at all times unless you have a fence, so that he can't trespass on your neighbor's property and get into fights.
