My active dog seems skinny. What high-calorie food should I feed him?

My dog is skinny even though we feed him alot hes active is there a recommended dog food i can give him?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Axel. He does not appear to be under weight based on the picture that you have attached. A dog should have a very thin covering over the ribs where you can see the last couple. He should have a defined waist from both the top and side views. However, if he is very active you can considering transitioning him to a performance diet such as Purina ProPlan Sport. It will contain more calories per cup. I hope this information helps!

    Thank you for submitting your question regarding Morty. The feeding recommendations on the side of the bag are just an estimate. Each dog is different. You may what to consider a performance diet as he is so high energy. These diets are designed for sporting dogs and are very high calorie. An example would be Purina ProPlan Sport. If he is experiencing diarrhea, vomiting or other signs of illness, then of course he should see his veterinarian. I hope this information helps!
