My senior cat has intermittent loose stools. What's the cause?

Pet's info: Cat | Chartreux | Female | spayed | 17 years and 1 month old | 7.2 lbs

i have a 17 year old cat and for unknown reasons she gets loose stool time to time

This is suspicious of chronic diarrhea, which is not specific to any one condition and would eventually require a vet evaluation and some testing in order to discover the cause of this. Diarrhea or loose stools can be observed with conditions such as colitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have Batboy evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They may choose to check for parasites and to start medications for diarrhea depending on the results. If you have not tried probiotics that is something else that would be worth trying. Good luck!
