My dog has a scab on her head. What could it be and what should I do?

My dog has a scab on her head and I can't tell what it is. Please help.

It looks like she has a skin infection. You could clean it with a wound wash and see if that helps. Otherwise, have your vet examine her to determine the cause and treat. She might need an antibiotic and corticosteroid to help treat.

    She could have a bacterial skin infection. You could bathe her with a medicated dog shampoo and see if that helps. If not, she should be examined by a veterinarian for treatment. She may need an anti-histamine, corticosteroid, and/or an antibiotic to help treat the problem.

    Hi. This appears to be a skin infection. These can be bacterial or fungal. Ringworm is one possibility as well. I would give Kiara manhood oatmeal pet shampoo bath and call your veterinarian in the morning for an appointment. They can get her on the right medication and get some skin testing done.
