My cat has a translucent lump. Is it natural or does it need a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 14 years and 4 months old | 7 lbs

My male Siamese/Persian has an odd lump that seems translucent. I am unsure if I need to see a vet or if this is simply something natural. He has also been sneezing which may be unrelated.

It could be severe gingivitis or a tumor originating from the gum tissue. Please, take Tina to your loca lvet for clinical examination. Your vet may want to take an aspirate from the lump (so stick a needle into the lump, aspirate and look at it under a microscope) to make the final diagnosis. I do not think that sneezing is related to this.
