My dog has bumps after shots/grooming. Allergic reaction or monitor?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | unneutered | 12 lbs

Is my dog having an allergic reaction do I need to take him into the office or is it something he's just gonna have to wait out? Max just had his shots and went to the grommers on Sunday and Monday respectively And I just not notice bumps along his back but he hasn't be scratching extra or really paying attention to them

Since the bumps aren't bothering Max, you can choose to monitor him. They may resolve on their own, but if not then he should be seen by your veterinarian. It could be an allergic reaction or localized infection. Monitor for rapid change or growth, redness, pain, discharge or itching. If necessary, use an e-collar (cone) to prevent licking or chewing until he sees the vet.
