Why is my older dog's mouth black with blisters and rapid decline?

What causes a older dog to have black lips with blood blisters black gums and black teeth resulting in death in 3 days. Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Male | unneutered | 15 lbs

I would suspect a toxin that was ingested or a systemic disease that is causing abnormal bleeding into the surrounding tissues of the body.
