My street dog has a hollow in her skin and licks it. Is it maggots?

Pet's info: Dog | Mastiff | Female | unspayed

I have a street dog who roam around all the day & came to my place at night or at noon for food & water & sometime for sleep.Suddenly i noticed in its back there is a hollow in the skin & she lick it all the day.I don't know what is that??Is it maggots??I can't take her to the vet as she is street dog.Please suggest me name of some medicine.please.

Hi and thanks for your post! It is very hard to say what exactly the issue with Kali's skin is without examining her first. Common skin issues in dogs include mange, bacterial infections, allergic dermatitis from an environmental allergy such as fleas just to name a few. You may consider getting Kali on a flea preventative but I would recommend having her seen by a veterinarian so Kali can be properly diagnosed and receive the most appropriate treatment.
