My 10-year-old poodle's knee pops out. What helps besides surgery?

My minature poodle is estimated to be 10 years old. Her knee's pop out of place, I believe its stage 2. She been having a hard time walking lately. I'm just curious to see if there is anything you would recommend. I know its not going to resolved without surgery but is there anything that will help beside surgery? Thanks. Really appreciate your advice!! Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 10 lbs

Hi there, Yes, you are correct, surgery is the best way to fix this, but often times anti-inflammatory medications can alleviate the pain. I'd recommend rimadyl because it's safe for dogs. I'd also recommend a glucosamine supplement for cartilage protection. I like Dasuquin Advanced. I hope that helps and that Lovie feels better!
