Are kcals on cat food labels the same as calories for my cat's diet?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Longhair | Female | 5 years and 1 month old | 15 lbs

Trying to figure out kcals to calories on a can of cat food. A 3 oz can that is 76 kcals, Google says 76000, cant be 76000 calories ,or is just 76 calories a can? I stink big time in math, just trying to get my 15 n 13 lb indoor only cats down a few pounds. Can you help? Thanks.

I understand your math and logic for conversions but for some reason it is not needed with pet food! If it says 76 kcal, it is noted as 76 calories! Canned food is the best way to get them to lose weight
