Why did my dog have bloody diarrhea then stop pooping for 24 hours?

My dog (5 years old) yesterday pooped a little bit of diarrhea after a normal stool. The diarrhea had a little bit of blood in it. His appetite is normal, he is active and he drinks water normally. But he hasn't pooped since. It's been 24h since he last pooped. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | unneutered | 5 years and 1 month old | 88 lbs

I would not panic at this point and monitor his next BM. The blood and soft stool may have been from straining. Sometimes this can be an isolated occurrence I would worry and get him checked if the diarrhea or blood continues or he stops eating and vomits.
