Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 52 lbs
I have been feeding this stray for a year now, when I found him he had severe malnutrition and skin related issues. He's better now but I think his infection has returned. He's been biting into his fur to the extent that you can literally see the skin. It's summers here so initially I thought he's just shedding.Few days back he had bought along a month old pup who had absolutely no hair on his body, was just bones and was constantly itching.Sadly it died the next day while still scratching. Help?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Jackie. I worry about an infectious cause of his itching. If possible, I would start by applying a flea and tick medication. Revolution would be a good choice as it covers mites as well. You can also try bathing him with a disinfecting shampoo before to applying the flea and tick prevention. This may help with the itching. I hope this information helps!
