Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 2 years old | 12 lbs
Hello, I have a 2 y/o cat, female DSH, adopted from a rescue at 6 mos. She is very attached to me, but skittish with others. She's not socialized, as I live alone. Ever since I've had her, she has had these bursts of aggression, where she'll follow me around and grab my legs & ankles with claws, leaving bleeding scratches. She will also be sitting next to me perfectly calm, then suddenly grab my hand with her claws and rabbit kick my arm, leaving bleeding scratches. How do I deal with it? Help

The first thing I would suggest is to have Cleo checked out by your veterinarian. Certain medical conditions including hyperthyroidism can cause aggression of this nature. If a medical cause is ruled out and this is a behavioral issue, you can try to use a Feliway diffuser or collar to help keep Cleo calm when she is around you. You may also want to consider consulting with a veterinary behaviorist. You can find one in your area on www.dacvb.org
