If your dog tends to chew bones into small pieces, you can give him one rib bone as a treat. However, bones have very little positive impact on dog's health and as giving bones can cause problems, like upset stomach, constipation or even intestinal obstruction or perforation I do not recommend giving bones to dogs at all.
