Why does my cat have scabs, bites, and sneezes despite flea meds?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 13 lbs

My cat she gets flea medicine every month sents we've had her which is 10 years she's always had scabs on her body if you pet her she bites herself she didn't have scabs when we got her & she didn't have her sneezing problem she sneezes all the time with snot vet told me that shes allergy to flea saliva but I have her on advanged 2 for cats is there anything we can do to get the scabs to go away & her stop biting her self and the sneezing we've washed her in oatmeal shampoo changed her food etc

It sounds like Missy has allergic dermatitis, which can be to something in the environment or something in her food. I would suggest taking her to your vet for treatment, because over the counters don't really work for allergies in cats. She will likely need steroid therapy and antibiotics to treat for any secondary infections on her skin. You can also give her daily fish oils, which are a natural anti-inflammatory for the skin, and can be given long term. Best wishes with your pet Missy and her allergies.
