My corn snake has a hardened white blockage. What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Our corn snake has a white hardened blockage keeping her from excreting. She has been shedding, is active and alert. She eats a pinkie once a week. We tried to feed her tonight and the blockage was back and worse. It went farther into her body. It seems like an infection. Any advice on what to do?

Soak her in a warm 50/50 solution of water and unflavored PediaLyte for 0-30 minutes. This, along with a gentle abdominal massage, may help her pass the blockage. If it is dries stool, the warm bath may soften it enough so you can wipe her clean. If it persists, have Noodle examined by your veterinarian or an experienced herp vet.
