Why is my kitten hissing, fighting, and pooping on itself near mom?

Hi. a cat came to my kittens while they are outside and since my cat was inside she run to them then a fight happen under a closet at the yard, one of the kitten started to scream and shout and hiss at the mother, he even pooped on himself. the mom remained calm but then he started to be calm but went back again to hiss at the mother then she started to fight him but withoht a sound or hurting him. i want to know what's this behavior by the kitten and mom? im really worried

Hello, sorry to hear about your kittens. If mom was away from the kittens, if she had a bath, or if the kittens had a bath then they could be having a hard time recognizing their smells. If this behavior continues then you may need to separate them and reintroduce them slowly. Otherwise, keep an eye on them and make sure that they are not fighting too often.
