Pet's info: Dog | Jack Russell Terrier | Female | spayed | 16 lbs
Every time my Jack Russell gets in water, even her own kiddie pool her belly breaks out in red small bumps. They do go away after a week of no swimming but she loves her pool. What Could be causing this? I have tried adding vinegar, and peroxide (on different days) and dried her off . The water is out of the garden hose as is her drinking water, no problem with that. What is causing these pimple like bumps?

That is likely to be caused by an acute allergic reaction. It is difficult unfortunately to say precisely what it is that is triggering the reaction, and I am afraid avoiding any contact with it is the only option I can think of. Skin rashes can be present for many reasons. Since it does not appear to be related to swimming, I recommend to have another exam with your veterinarian. Things like environmental allergies and parasites are very common. Less common would be a food allergy. The doctor may recommend some baseline diagnostics and will then formulate a treatment plan. Adding an omega-3 fatty acid supplement for pets can help with skin health in general. Certain diet such as Royal Canin and Nutro can also help with skin health in general. Best of luck.
