Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 12 years and 1 month old | 44 lbs
My dog was diagnosed with Discoid Lupus about a year ago. I was wondering if there was anything diet wise that would be beneficial for her. She doesn’t eat well and is somewhat debilitated. The only meds she is on currently are Vitamin E and Niacinamide. I am feeding her Solid Gold Young at Heart senior food. She is 12 years old.

The mainstay of therapy for discoid lupus is immunosuppressive therapies such as prednisone or cyclosporine. Topical therapies are also sometimes added. Vitamin E can be useful too but other than that there are no special foods/diets that are indicated.
