My pet has an infected jaw wound. Can it wait for the regular vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered

I found a small puncture on his jaw that appears to be infected. Can he wait to see the regular vet on Monday, or does he need to go to the emergency vet tomorrow? He’s eating and drinking normally, and was active all day.

Hello and thank you for reaching out to pet coach. I think as long as Muka is eating, drinking, and seems comfortabke the wound can probably wait until monday for treatment. Watch it very closely and if anything changes i would have him seen right away.
