Boi will need his DHPPi (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza) combination vaccine as well as rabies (it's required by law in Florida). He will need to series of each vaccine given four weeks apart in order for him to be fully vaccinated. I will put a link below to the Vetco clinic's prices for vaccines. All dogs should have at least a rabies vaccine and distemper/parvovirus (DHPP) combination vaccine. If your dog has never had vaccines, he will need to be boosted with the distemper/parvovirus combination in 3-4 weeks. The rabies vaccine he gets will be a 1 year vaccine and next year he can get a 3 year booster. If there is a Petco/Vetco near you, then you can have him vaccinated there. Great question! Toro will need his DHPPi vaccine (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, and parainfluenza) as well as rabies. For both of these, he will need an initial vaccine of both, then a booster of each four weeks later to incur immunity. Depending on the prevalence of leptospirosis in your area and if you are ever planning on boarding him, he may need a lepto vaccine and kennel cough vaccine. You can speak to your vet about if those vaccines, but he should definitely get DHPPi and rabies. There may be a low cost vaccine clinic in your area, which can offer vaccines for as low as $20. I would call local clinics to get prices for his vaccines. Good on you for taking him in and getting those done!

Most puppies will require a series of shots spaced out 3-4 weeks apart, usually a combo vaccine such as DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza). Some combo vaccines may also include Coronavirus or Leptospirosis in them as well depending on your area. At about six months of age, your pup will also need a rabies vaccine that must be administered by a vet. The following year a booster of all vaccines are given, and then either a yearly or three year protocol is usually done to booster all vaccines after that. There are also many other optional vaccines, such as bordetella, that can be given depending on if you plan to board your dog, bring him to a daycare, etc. Working with a vet in your area is best as they will know the most about any required vaccines and what to tailor for you and Russel. Price will vary depending on location and if you go with a vaccine clinic or a private veterinarian and can range anywhere from 50-150+ depending on if an exam is also given or any

She is a pretty girl!!! The most important vaccination (and one required by law) is the Rabies vaccine. This is essential. The second most important vaccine is the Distemper vaccine, which is often a combo vaccine sometimes called a DHPP (protects against distemper, canine hepatitis, parvovirus and parainfluenza). These vaccines are considered the "core vaccines" for dogs. Every dog should have them. The rest will depend on her lifestyle. I also recommend the Leptosporosis vaccine for dogs if they spend time outdoors in areas with creeks/puddles/ponds because this disease is a bacteria transmitted to dogs by contaminated water (rodents who have the disease urinate and it contaminates the water and the dogs can acquire it this way). The Lepto vaccine requries a series of 2 booster 3 to 4 weeks apart if she has never had it before. Thanks for the question. I'm glad you are planning to get Mickey vaccinated. The typical vaccination schedule is a combination vaccine called DAPP, which stands for Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. This vaccine is usually given at 8, 12, and 16 weeks of age. A rabies vaccine is given 16 weeks of age. Other recommended vaccines vary depending on what part of the country Mickey is living. Prices vary widely from one city to another, so I can't tell you how much this will cost. I recommend calling a local clinic and asking how much it will cost to bring Mickey in for an exam and his first round of puppy vaccines. Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! We are not afflicted with a particular Veterinary Hospital. Prices vary by region. On average a Vet exam costs around $40-$50 and each vaccine is about $25-$30. The bare minimum vaccinations would be a DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvo and parainfluenza) and Rabies. I hope this helps!

Lots of questions! By the way, Otis is so very cute. So I can say many vets do not recognize given by owners. This is because they often give them wrong, and/or the store where they got it stored the vaccine incorrectly leading to the vaccine being useless. Frankly, I would not count that vaccine, and start the series from the beginning. He needs the DHPPi combination vaccine, three shots each given four weeks apart. He can get that now, and the vet will schedule with you the next booster. He will be old enough for his first rabies vaccine at 12 weeks of age, and two vaccines will need to be given four weeks apart to incur immunity. He will need to at-least get a parvo/distemper vaccine and a rabies vaccine. The core vaccines (Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, Adenovirus2, Parainfluenza) are normally given every three years after they are over a year old. The necessity for other vaccines (leptospirosis, Bordetella, etc.) will depend on the dog's environment and are given more frequently. Congratulations on your new addition! The answer to which vaccinations he will need depends his individual risk factors. I am attaching a link to the American Animal Hospital Association's vaccine guideline below. https://www.aaha.org/guidelines/canine_vaccination_guidelines/practice_vaccination.aspx They recommend that all dogs receive DAPP and Rabies vaccinations. Those vaccines are considered Core vaccinations. Any other vaccinations are considered Non-Core and are only recommended for dogs that are at risk of contracting those diseases. Vaccine recommendations to partially depend upon his lifestyle and where you live. Also, that second vaccine should have been given in a 2 to 4 week window from the initial vaccine. If it was given later than four weeks after the first vaccine, he will need booster vaccines within a 2 to 4 week window. Assuming he was given the vaccines at the appropriate time, Kai should get another DHLPP and a rabies vaccine. If he gets groomed, goes to the park or has contact with other dogs in general, you may consider getting a kennel cough vaccine. Other vaccines are for Lyme disease and Influenza (dog flu). Your local veterinarian can discuss if these diseases are present in your area and what potential risk factors exist. You may be able to find lower cost vaccinations at a low-cost vaccine clinic or a vaccine clinic in general. You can generally find information online.
