Can my healthy, older cockatiel safely handle a long car trip?

I have a 19 year old cockatiel who is very healthy. We are travelling from Alberta to British Columbia. It is about a five hour trip. Do you think our bird would be able to handle the trip. Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Male

If he is healthy, there's no reason he can't make the trip. Without a physical exam though, it is impossible to say about for sure. Set him up in a secure travel cage. Make sure it isn't bumped or jostled about and keep it out of direct sunlight or strong drafts. Monitor him for signs of stress and take a break if needed. Consider using a cage cover to provide more security and protection.
