Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 13 lbs

My cat got severely sick for the past 4 days and hasn’t moved or eaten. I thought he’d get better. He’s 15 and has never been sick before. I want to send u a pic of his eyes and u let me know if it’s safe for me to try and clean the gunk out of his eyes tonight because I won’t be able to take him to the vet Till tomorrow. I’m worried he won’t make it past the night. His heartbeat is too fast. I really didn’t think it’d get this bad. I saw the gunk and figured I’d clean it after he regained strg

I’m sorry to hear about Rudy! The picture of the eyes didn’t upload but honestly that’s probably not his main problem. Any animal that has not moved or eaten in 4 days needs to see the emergency vet immediately. Rudy is likely severely dehydrated at this time and very likely in shock. Common reasons for this in a 15 year old cat are kidney failure, unregulated Diabetes, and cancer. I do not recommend anything by mouth unless he is swallowing well and holding himself upright. If he is, small amounts of water as often as you can. Stop immediately if he starts coughing, gagging, or vomiting. I am so sorry again that his came on so suddenly. I hope you find answers and peace no matter the outcome.

Poor Rudy! The signs you are describing are very concerning - they can be caused by a mass, foreign body, toxin ingestion, and many other conditions. I recommend having Rudy seen by his vet as soon as possible. Bloodwork, x-rays, and an ultrasound can rule out the conditions above and help get a better idea of what is going on with Rudy. I hope all is well and that Rudy feels better soon!
