My chihuahua ate raisins, no symptoms after 24 hours. Is she okay?

My 6.7lb chihuahua ate 3 raisins from an oatmeal cookieover 24 hours ago and shows no symptoms. Will she be ok? Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | spayed | 1 year and 4 months old | 6.7 lbs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Unfortunately, the answer is “there is no way to know”. Not all dogs will develope any type of kidney injury. The dogs that do get kidney damage sometimes do not show signs on bloodwork for up to 72 hours. To be safe I’d say do a kidney blood panel and urinalysis on Monday. Realistically though, if there is no increased drinking or urinating or any other changes by tomorrow, she is likely to be just fine. Best of luck to you and Luna!
