Puppy's age: Who to believe, vet or birth certificate? What to feed?

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 2 days old | 6 lbs

My puppy is more than three months according to his burth certificate. But vet says he’s nearly two and a half. Whom should i believe? And what should i feed him? Still a puppy starter?

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. If you have a birth certificate with his date of birth and this is a known date by the breeder, than this should be accurate. You can contact the breeder directly to make sure this date is correct. I would still feed a puppy food up until 12 months of age. Science Diet, Royal Canin, Natural Balance or Purina One. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction.
