Why is my momma cat moving her kittens so often? How can I help?

My momma cat has been quite restless since yesturday and keeps roaming around the house and keeps meowing at me.She is also carrying her three days old kitten with her.This is the second nest she has changed..is she trying to change her nest again?if she is then why is she moving them so frequently? And what can i do to make her feel safe?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! She could very well be moving the kittens- it’s quite common for them to move their kittens frequently. A hands-off approach works best. Provide access to quiet dark areas (open an empty cabinet, closets, etc). Keep an eye on her and know where she is currently nesting but don’t hover.
