Why is my 2-month-old kitten lethargic and not eating after moving?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Persian | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 4 days old

My persian cat who is 2 months old has been recently moved to my house near college. She’s been less active and has lost her appetite. She eats very little (it’s dry cat food) and she’s been more affectionate towards me tho. She sleeps a lot and more than how she used to. Should I be concerned about this or is this just normal kitten behaviour?

Luna is still a baby and cannot really eat enough dry food at this age. You will need to feed her canned kitten food. She may be less active from stress and weakness due to not eating enough. So try this, get some good quality canned kitten food, and feed her small amounts 3-4 times a day. Let her eat as much as she wants, as she is still growing. If she does not brighten up and still does not eat enough, she should be seen by a veterinarian for an exam.
