Thanks for visiting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! A dog cannot catch meningitis from a person. As a matter of fact, there are only about 1-2 rare forms of strep bacterial infections that dogs can get from people, and in those cases it’s usually an upper respiratory infection.
