Why does my dog have loud stomach noises and won't eat weekly?

Hi and thanks for using Boop by Petco! Sorry to hear about Diesel. Abnormal behavior, dry nose, lots of gut sounds, is drinking, but not eating, stools are normal. So I usually advise clients this way- if some abnormal behavior or signs persist (of course depending on their severity) for 12-24 hours, or if they worsen, or other signs develop, I would advise an immediate visit to your vet. Drinking is important as long as there is no fluid losses with vomiting/diarrhea. Not eating isn't as critical but it needs to be monitored. If Diesel won't eat tonight and then won't eat again tomorrow morning, I would advise a vet visit right away. Tonight, if other signs develop, I wouldn't wait, I would get him seen by an emergency vet if you can. Not sure if you know the signs of bloat, but this is seen in GS Dogs. Abdominal distention, dry heaving, restlessness, pain, cannot get comfortable, crying/moaning. If you notice these signs, this is an emergency and he needs to be seen immedi

I recommend that you have Mawi evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check for these possibilities and others depending on the findings on exam. Unfortunately, those are very vague symptoms with many potential causes. If it just started up recently, minor GI upset such as getting into something Eddy shouldn't have, eating too many treats or people food, etc can cause it. Picking up his food for a few hours then offering a bland meal of boiled chicken and rice may help and also encourage him to eat. Other causes could be a range of things including internal parasites, food allergies leading to gas production or GI upset, eating something that made him ill, getting into something toxic, foreign bodies, underlying illnesses, medical conditions, etc. If he continues to have these symptoms, won't eat anything at all, or has new symptoms appear such as vomiting, diarrhea, etc, seeking out veterinary care in person ASAP is best.

These may be the early signs of a gastrointestinal inflammation/infection and some more signs like vomiting or diarrhoea may follow. Other differentials may include pain in the abdomen or possibly systemic diseases causing high temperature. I would recommend to feed her with a bland diet based on bolied chicken and rice in small portions for the next 48hours and in case of any more gastrointestinal signs have her checked by your local vet.

If Ruckis is still having this issue then I recommend a visit with your veterinarian to make sure he doesn't have an intestinal upset. I would recommend trying to gradually transition him to a sensitive stomach diet if this is something that continually happens. Thank you for using Boop by Petco.

It could be related, Buster could be nauseous. Feed him a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If he refuses to eat the bland diet, vomits the bland diet, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, develops diarrhea, or becomes very lethargic, have him seen by a vet.

Considering what you described, I think the problem may be just dietary related and I would recommend to change the diet to a more bland one. Start feeding with a bland diet based on boiled chicken and rice in small portion every 6 hours for the following 48hours. Then gradually reintroduce the normal diet over 5 days. I would definitively recommend a veterinary check up if the signs persist or you notice diarrhoea, vomiting, lethargy or inappetence. Hades is experiencing very general symptoms of disease, these symptoms could fit almost any internal condition, maybe he is suffering from nausea due to a gastrointestinal disease and maybe he is in pain, from the symptoms described it's very hard to know. i would recommend taking him to the vet as soon as possible in order to get him checked, if he doesn't show any other obvious symptoms during the examination, a blood test and possibly an ultrasound will be needed in order to try and find out what is wrong with Hades.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! That could have resulted in an obstruction which is now causing inappetence. Another possibility is of course dietary indiscretion. I highly recommend that you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment.
