Why does my kitten seem in pain when pooping in the litter box?

my kitten is just starting to use the litter box & i wanted to know if the poop looked normal? also he appears to be in pain every time he poops... what should i do? (his mother passed :( ). Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | unneutered

This looks like a perfectly normal kitten poop. He is probably not in pain but needs to tell everybody that he is having a poop. Like children.....The feces do not look to dry, therefore I do not think he is in pain.
