My hairy dog's inner leg is red after medical tape. Is it irritated?

Can this be caused from when she had paper medical tape on her? & she’s hairy so it couldn’t just be taken off easily it’s on her inner leg. I think it’s either that or she bit it to try to take it off. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 9 years and 3 months old | 4 lbs

Yes, that could sure be from the tape. You can apply a thin layer of something like Neosporin to those red areas for a few days. This should be no big deal but if she starts licking at it, you will need to get her a cone collar to wear or this will turn into a skin infection. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
