Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Male | neutered | 1 year and 3 months old | 55 lbs
My dog recently has had accidental bowel movements and he has experienced no changes in diet, routine, etc. He primarily did it when we were gone for short lengths of time, but now it's while we are here. I just walked him and he has mucus surrounding his stool. We requested an appointment with our vet, but they aren't open for another 2 days. Should we go to the pet hospital?

Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. If Parker is otherwise normal, I would recommend initiating a bland diet of chicken and rice and feed this until the symptoms resolve. If he worsens or it does not resolve, I would take him in to be seen by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
