Accidentally put too much ear medicine in my cat's ear. Is she okay?

I was prescribed a medication for my cat for bacteria in her ears and she jerked and I squirt way too much ointment into her ear canal. How badly will this damage her? She's a 17 yr old 6.6 lb kitty. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 16 years and 6 months old | 6.6 lbs
