my .cat has a sore on his nose which has made his nose quite configured. it isn't healing and it bleeds every now and then.i took him to the vet and they did a nose swab and told me it's an infection . I have paid for antibiotics that are not healing it and don't know what else to do

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! While I agree with your veterinarian that this can be due to an infection. However, I think a fungal infection like cryptococcus seems more likely and that would only respond to anti-fungal therapy. Another possibility is cancer such as squamous cell carcinoma. I recommend you consider having him reevaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. May be a biopsy could be done at this time since it has not improved. Hello, while it is difficult to say definitively what is happening to Shir's nose, I would guess that this is some sort of bacterial infection. He is too young for something more serious like cancer, but I would have your veterinarian check things out at your earliest convenience so the proper treatment can be initiated.
