Why is my dog suddenly lethargic and sleeping more than usual?

Hi, My dog is acting very lethargic today and he is normally full of energy. He has eaten and gone to the toilet but it far sleepier and docile than usual. He hasn't eaten anything bad to my knowledge and I can't find any ticks on him. My vet is closed but did not want to contact emergency vet unless it was an actual emergency. He has been recently neutered but wound is healed and He had a two week check up and said all was fine. I am just worried as very out of character for him to be so tired. Pet's info: Dog | West Highland White Terrier | Male | neutered | 1 year and 2 months old | 20 lbs

Lack of energy can be the sign of many things that go from just being tired to actually representing a problem like due to pain for example. If he is otherwise fine, I recommend you keep a close eye on him for now. If there is no improvement within the next 2-3 days, have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a great day!
