How long after radioiodine treatment can I safely be near my dog?

Hi do I need to keep away from my dogs after radio iodine treatment and if so how long for

If you have had radioiodine treatment then you should take the same precautions with them as with other people - avoid prolonged close contact, do not allow them to sleep in your bed and flush toilets and sinks 2-3 times after using them. Generally 3-5days is deemed enough to allow radiation levels to decrease
