Why is my dog suddenly eating dirt? She is going to be 16 and is getting extra vitamins and being fed Whole Hearted. She is a 50 pound Lab mix. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 15 years and 6 months old | 50 lbs

Dogs that suddenly start eating non-food items such as dirt often are found to have a tummy ache or other gastrointestinal problems. I suggest you take Hannah to your vet for an exam. Your vet may want to do some blood work to help with diagnosing the problem.
