My dog has diarrhea and is lethargic. What home remedies can I try?

My dogs nose is dry and she seems lethargic. No puking, just some runny poo and she's not as perky as usual. She is 3. Is there anything I can do to help her feel better?

I'm sorry Sammy doesn't feel well! Don't worry about her nose being dry, that's not a sign of illness in dogs. A dog's nose can go from wet to dry simply by lying in the sun or next to a heat source. It sounds like she has some diarrhea, so I can give you a home remedy to try to see if that helps. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If the diarrhea continues on the bland diet, she starts vomiting food, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away. My dog is having diarrhea and farting occasionally. Regardless of that she ate her dinner but she isn’t really interested in food much as she was before. She seems really down and less energetic. Do you know what this possibly can be?

My dog has been vomiting for about 3 days, diarrhea, and is lethargic. I don't know what's wrong with her and I can't afford to take her to a vet.
This is a tough situation because she is likely suffering from some degree of dehydration on top of any underlying condition. Try withholding food for 12-24 hours. Allow or syringe feed small amounts of water or unflavored PediaLyte. Resume feeding a bland diet ( boiled boneless / skinless chicken and plain white rice) in small, frequent amounts. Serve warm or mix in a teaspoon or two of baby food to stimulate the appetite. If the vomiting stops, continue feeding until the stool is normal then transition slowly to the regular diet. If the vomiting or diarrhea don't stop, you will need to see a veterinarian. Contact your local animal shelter and ask about low cost clinics. Consider a financing option such as CareCredit.

My dog is so dull from last night and getting loose motions.What should i do to take precaution now?
I would try a bland diet of boiled boneless chicken and white rice. This is easily digestible for his upset gastrointestinal tract. You can also add cooked skinless sweet potato to help with the diarrhoea. It is difficult to say whether Chloe has an infection or perhaps parasite infestation. If she does not perk up soon, the diarrhoea continues, she bonus, seems weak it lethargic I would advise taking her to see a veterinarian as soon as possible.

He could be walking slowly because he feels bad or is in pain, and he could have diarrhea because he has intestinal worms, a severe GI illness, eating something rotten, or a foreign body. Poor Kayla! I will give you a home remedy to try to see if that helps her, and if it doesn't help, then I would take her to the vet. Just make sure she drinks plenty of water, and you can add some warm water or low sodium chicken broth to the bland diet I'm going to give you to get more moisture in her. I hope this helps!
